Great Victorian Fish Count celebration night – respect your elders

Join us in person or online to learn all about the Great Victorian Fish Count and long-lived fish that live in our waters.

Dr Corey Green will teach us all about fish ears and how they can be used to tell the age of a fish.

Dr Nicole Mertens will share her knowledge about how protecting and restoring blue carbon habitats benefits our fishes and reefs.

Brent Cross (aka Bert) will share his story of turning an unwanted pest (Undaria pinnatifida) into a tasty treat that is starting to turn up in stores and restaurants around Melbourne.

ReefWatch Coordinator Kade Mills will chat about the upcoming Fish Count and share the results from 2022.

Please arrive at 6pm for a 6.30pm start.
