Nature of change in Port Phillip Bay: webinar 1

Wednesday, October 11, 2023 | 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

We invite you to travel back in time with us on Wednesday 11 October at our special Nature of Change webinar!

Together we’ll explore the area’s geological history with renowned coastal geomorphologist Professor David Kennedy, while palaeontologist and science communicator Ben Francischelli will introduce us to the megafauna that once roamed Port Phillip Bay.

RSVP to the webinar.

Come along to hear David bring together the latest research to understand how our coast will respond to the pressures of population growth and climate change.

Stay as Ben discusses some of the most unbelievable-looking animals that have ever existed, from giant short-faced kangaroos to the bolt-cutter-like jaws of the largest marsupial carnivore that ever lived!

This event is part of a series of community workshops and field trips brought to you by Life Saving Victoria in partnership with the Association of Bayside Municipalities and the Victorian National Parks Association.
The nature of change in Port Phillip Bay is supported by the Victorian Government.
