Welcome to the December edition of Park Watch! Summer has arrived and our magazine is bursting at the seams with citizen science, campaign reports, special features and all our regular attractions.
As you flick through the pages, please remember all of our achievements are only possible because of the support and commitment of nature-lovers like you.
From big wins for Little River, to Burrunan Dolphins in Port Phillip and polling on Victoria’s support for parks – our latest Park Watch is bursting at the seams. Our staff penned their Christmas wish lists, there’s an update on the fate of our Dingoes and we share a new feature on tracking and tackling invasives.
We’re keeping the pressure on for the Great Forest National Park and getting our central west parks over the line. There’s our work closing habitat logging loopholes and pushing for stronger nature laws. Our holistic plans for Western Port Bay and a nature-sensitive offshore wind industry are building momentum.
Across all manner of landscapes and activities, our programs are contributing to research and science, and informing and inspiring families and people of all ages.
Summer has arrived – time to get out and enjoy nature!
