VNPA is proud to present the updated second edition of Conservation Journeys – A History of VNPA 1952-2010 by Dr Don Garden.
Don Garden has delved into a myriad of VNPA, government and private sources to produce a detailed and fascinating account of the Association. From the early days of Crosbie Morrison and J Ros Garnet, through long and memorable campaigns to create national parks across the state, such as the Little Desert, the Victorian Alps and River Red Gum country, to the onset of the climate crisis at the turn of the 21st century.
This 120 page history includes stories of our many environmental champions, and detailed descriptions of our many achievements and campaigns. It is illustrated with dozens of photographs of the state’s natural places, and maps tracking the creation of Victoria’s national parks through the decades.
