So that our social media platforms remain inclusive, respectful, and constructive spaces for all, we’ve established the following community guidelines:
- Respect Each Other: Treat all members of our community with kindness, empathy, and respect. Remember that we share a passion for nature, even if our perspectives may differ. Avoid derogatory or inflammatory language, and engage in constructive dialogue.
- Stay on Topic: Keep discussions and content focused on topics related to Victorian nature, conservation efforts, environmental education and similar themes. Off-topic posts may be removed to maintain the relevance of our community.
- Share Thoughtfully: Before sharing content, consider its relevance, accuracy, and potential impact on our community. Share your experiences, insights, and knowledge about Victorian nature in a respectful and informative manner. Avoid sharing misleading or unverified information.
- Protect Privacy: Respect the privacy of others and refrain from sharing personal information without consent. This includes avoiding the tagging or identifying of individuals without their permission in photos or posts.
- Be Inclusive: Embrace diversity and inclusivity in our community. Avoid discriminatory or exclusionary language or behavior based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, age, ability, or any other characteristic. Celebrate the richness of perspectives and experiences within our community.
- Appropriate Content: If you encounter content or behavior that violates these guidelines or makes you feel uncomfortable, please report it to the moderators. We’re committed to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for all members of our community.
- Respect Intellectual Property: Respect copyright and intellectual property rights when sharing content on our platforms. Only share content that you have the right to distribute, and always credit the original creators when appropriate.
- Follow Platform Policies: Adhere to the terms of service and community guidelines of the social media platforms we use. This includes refraining from engaging in spamming, trolling, or any other behavior that violates platform policies.
We reserve the right to remove, discriminatory, malicious, derogatory or offensive comments/content, links to discredited conspiracy theories and misinformation. Bullying or harassment will not be tolerated. Users displaying this behaviour will be blocked.
