Report March 2024 | This report is for public land managers and anyone who wishes to advocate for the protection of significant trees on public land. It addresses the growing concern among forest scientists, community groups, tree advocates and nature lovers over the loss of significant trees across the public estate.
Our goal with Protecting our living legacies is to spark a conversation about how we can better manage and care for our trees on public land, particularly those significant trees which are large, old, or contain tree-hollows, and how we can increase their longevity.
