In this edition of Park Watch, we look at the need for improved funding and policy for our protected areas in Victoria.
Nature is facing unprecedented pressure – and our national parks are the foundation of efforts to protect it. But right now, less than 0.5% of state government spending is used to protect and maintain our national parks and reserve system. And that’s simply not good enough. The following articles outline our campaigning for stronger commitments and increased investment for nature protection in Victoria. You can also back this important work by supporting our ‘1% for Parks’ campaign.
As always we cover the most important issues concerning our national parks and other natural areas across our state.
