In 2010 our NatureWatch program and 32 eager volunteers visited Iramoo Wildlife Reserve in Melbourne’s western suburbs to find out how a population of endangered Striped Legless Lizards were faring.
Using roof tiles as a survey tool they hoped to re-trap individual lizards surveyed more than a decade ago in an attempt to get a better understanding of the longevity of this species, growth rates and habitat use.
