TAKE ACTION |
Our powerful national parks legacy is under attack. It’s not only rampant feral pests and climate disruption. It’s under attack from the very people charged with protecting nature.
Your elected reps have all but abandoned their duty to protect nature. They’ve replaced independent, evidence-led experts with a toothless taskforce. They’ve axed park rangers, conservation programs and funding.
Protected areas keep Victoria’s most treasured wildlife and landscapes safe. Tell them to stop this attack on our parks and look after our legacy.
Threats to nature are accelerating. Our climate is destabilising, extinction risks are rising.
Victoria alone has over 1600 Endangered and Critically Endangered plants, animals and fungi. We only have one per cent of our grasslands left. Helmeted Honeyeaters, Southern Brown Bandicoots and Spotted Tree Frogs are on the brink. Even once common animals like Platypuses and Laughing Kookaburras, are being pushed out of the places and homes they thrived in for so long.
Not only do our national parks and protected areas keep rare and threatened plants, animals and fungi safe, they also contain complex webs of life that have survived decades of land clearing and development.
Join the scores of Victorians sticking up for the parks and places they love. Together we'll hold decision-makers to account, push for real investment in nature and counter misinformation.
