Submission session – A future for nature in the Central Highlands

Monday, 22 April | 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

The Central Highlands is a spectacular place. It’s also spectacularly under protected.

It’s full of incredible wildlife like Leadbeater’s Possums, Greater Gliders and Mountain Ash. It’s one of the most carbon dense forests in the world. A key source of Melbourne’s drinking water.

Yet it’s still threatened by extractive industries like rogue logging and mining.

For years we’ve talked about the need to create a Great Forest National Park in eastern Victoria. Now’s our best chance to make it happen. Opportunities like this don’t come along often.

Engage Victoria want your input on the future of this natural wonderland.

There are two ways to have your say: through a short survey or by adding pins to a map of the area.

Join us for an online session where we’ll run through the process and explore and add pins to the map together. We’ll also talk more about the Central Highlands, it’s incredible wildlife and answer any questions you might have.
