Citizen science – Life After Fire – Mt Cole

Join our 2-day expeditions to Mt Cole and Pyrenees Forests to survey wildlife and Critically Endangered Mt Cole Grevilleas recovering from the 2024 bushfire.

Help us with wildlife surveys using motion-sensing cameras, spotlighting surveys, setting up audio recorders and scat/track surveys.

This is a self-sufficient camping expedition. You’ll need to provide your own transport, camping equipment, food and water. We’ll be camping on private land or in state forest with minimal facilities.

All training is provided. This activity is not suitable for children.

Medium level of fitness required. We’ll walk 2-3 km on gravel roads with short walks off paths through dense understory plants.
