POSTPONED – NextGen Nature – Snorkel/marine pest removal at St Leonards Pier

Wednesday, 1 May | 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Free

This event is postponed due to unsuitable weather.

Join the Nextgen Nature crew (18 to 35 year olds) in taking action to protect our marine habitats from the invasive seaweed Wakame (Undaria pinnatifida), aka Japanese Kelp.

This is a great marine citizen science pest removal initiative happening at St Leonard’s Pier. It’s in St Leonards, near Portarlington.

All you need to bring is yourself, snorkel gear and a sense of adventure.

This event is intended for competent swimmers who have some experience snorkelling in Victorian or similar waters.

Snorkelling activities are weather-dependent. We’ll be in touch closer to the date in case anything changes.

We’ll meet at St Leonards Pier Carpark at 1 pm.

This event is being run by VNPA’s NextGen Nature Program.

Please RSVP below to receive full details for the event.
