Nature of Change: The Dell Eco Reef excursion

Friday, 7 June | 9:30 am - 11:00 am

Free

Grab your wetsuit booties and prepare to get your feet wet as we journey to Clifton Springs to discover the groundbreaking Dell Eco Reef.

This innovative coastal defence project merges cutting-edge technology with brilliant ecological design.

On this excursion, you’ll go behind-the-scenes with the masterminds who brought this reef to life. Ralph Roob from the City of Greater Geelong, designer Alex Goad of the Reef Design Lab, and Rebecca Morris of Melbourne University will peel back the curtain on the fascinating process.

What to bring: footwear above the ankle is a must that can get wet (wetsuit boots, gumboots, waders etc), hat, sunscreen, water, suitable clothing for all weather

Accessibility: this field trip requires a moderate level of walking ability up and down a set of stairs and to walk out in shallow water out to the reef.
