Cycling – Williams Landing to Williamstown

Sunday, 19 May

Join fellow two wheel enthusiasts for a 35km cycle from Williams Landing train station. We’ll explore some of Port Phillip Bay’s key habitat areas in the western suburbs.

Bring along your binoculars if you have some, we’ll do a bit of birdwatching along the way.

Some highlights will be Point Cooke Marine Sanctuary (using the newly constructed bridge over Skeleton Creek), Cheetham Wetlands Observation Tower, Altona Foreshore Reserve, and Point Gellibrand in Williamstown.

After a refreshing coffee or ice cream at Williamstown, we’ll finish the ride at Newport Station.

BYO bike & helmet. We’ll be riding mostly on concrete bike paths, and some unsealed tracks.

This easy-medium cycle begins approximately 25km west of Melbourne.
