Our program for the AGM includes:

  • Guest speaker Richard Swain on working towards healing country – perspectives on opportunities for Indigenous management of feral species and protected areas
  • Special Presentations: Matt Ruchel (Executive Director), Caitlin Griffith (Community Learning & Engagement Manager) and Dr Sera Blair (NatureWatch Coordinator)
  • AGM formalities, chaired by VNPA President, David Nugent, including the election of Council: President, Vice President, Treasure, Secretary and Councillors

Guest Speaker: Richard Swain

Richard Swain, is a Wiradjuri man who grew up in the Snowy Mountains with a strong connection to Country. Richard is a Hon Associate Professor, Fenner School of Environment and Society, ANU College of Science and an ambassador for the Invasive Species Council. Richard will speak on working towards healing country – perspectives on opportunities for Indigenous management of feral species and protected areas.
