TAKE ACTION |
Tell your elected representatives to give our landscapes and rare wildlife the protection they promised.
Four years ago the Victorian Government said they’d enshrine 60,000 hectares of central west forests in new national parks. Instead they’ve axed parks rangers, conservation programs and funding.
By now, 380 rare and threatened plants and animals, Brush-tailed Phascogales, Mt Cole Grevilleas and more, would be safe from the threat of logging, mining and other extractives.
When created, the new parks will be the Wombat-Lerderderg National Park, (near Daylesford), Mount Buangor National Park (near Beaufort) and the Pyrenees National Park (near Avoca).
We need landscape protection, not empty promises.
