Want to try your hand at being a citizen scientist? Or learn about Victoria’s native flora and fauna, and how to monitor them?

Volunteering with NatureWatch is a fantastic way to help increase our understanding of our precious environment.

NatureWatch volunteers can end up doing anything from conducting threatened plant surveys, listening to frog calls or setting up motion-sensing cameras & audio recorders to monitor for wildlife.
By volunteering with NatureWatch, you’ll meet people from all walks of life interested in nature, share knowledge and skills, and gain experience in nature conservation while spending time in spectacular forests.

Full training is provided to all volunteers, so whether you are a beginner or an experienced ecologist, we would love to have you on board.

Your involvement in NatureWatch will help collect data in important long-term research projects that are critical to our understanding of nature. NatureWatch volunteers also play an important role in the growing field of citizen science in Australia.

There is still so much to learn about nature in Victoria to better manage it for conservation.
