Chiltern-Mt Pilot National Park is a Box-Ironbark forest of wildflowers, rare orchids and native wildlife. There’s Brush-tailed Phascogales, Squirrel Gliders, Lace Monitors, Regent Honeyeaters and more.

Parks Victoria recently closed the illegal tracks. Why? Kilometres of illegal 4WD tracks were wrecking wildlife habitat, churning up soil, polluting water and hurting this important Aboriginal heritage site.

Even though it’s his job to look after nature, state environment minister defied the expertise of park rangers and reopened the illegal tracks.

The illegals tracks need to be shut and habitat restored. Chiltern-Mt Pilot National Park is a hot spot for large old trees, and home to Victoria’s largest protected population of Black Cypress-pine.

Ask your minister to protect these unique wildlife and landscapes.
