Guided wildflower walk – The Gurdies Nature Conservation Reserve

Sunday, 24 November | 10:30 am - 12:00 pm

Join Save Western Port Woodlands for a wildflower walk at The Gurdies Nature Conservation Reserve.

If you’ve never been here before you’ll be blown away by the view over the woodlands and Western Port Bay out to French Island, Corinella, Coronet Bay, Phillip Island and even to the Mornington Peninsula on a clear day.

After you’ve taken in the view, enjoy a leisurely orchid and wildflower stroll with Marg and Carolyn. If you prefer something more vigorous, join Tim for a brisk circuit taking in some of the main tracks.

Either way, you can turn back when you’ve had enough.

Park at the picnic ground at the end of Dunbabbin Road, off Stewart Road. Take care on the approach as there may be horse floats around.

No need to book, just come along.

After your walk, you can head to the Grantville Hall at 12.30pm for a free concert featuring Australian ukulele master AJ Leonard and cellist Jenny Rowlands, bluesman Doc White, Tim O’Brien, Rick Sands from the Sand Brothers, and local acoustic trio Keachange.

Check the Save Western Port Woodlands page for more information.
