Marine sanctuaries are the national parks of the ocean. They’re safe havens for Blue Whales, Australasian Gannets, Little Penguins, vast kelp forests and more.
The good news is that the Australian Government has a draft plan that could double marine sanctuaries in the South-east.
But it’s not all good. The draft plan includes opening up 11,000 square kilometres of Flinders Marine Park to commercial fishing.
Tell them to make it all good for marine protection.
Send your message on the draft management plan for the South-east Marine Parks Network.
We’ve got until Thursday 14 November.
