Grassy Talk – Assessing EPBC offsets, issues with Vic offsets, and offset reforms

Vaughn Cox will talk through issues with the way offsets are calculated at the federal level, focusing on some recent Victorian examples. He’ll also take a look at the proposed offset reforms and some ideas for managing the outcomes of those reforms.

Vaughn retired from DCCEEW mid-2025 after 35 years in WA and Commonwealth environment agencies. He’s been instrumental in Environmental Impact Assessments, strategic assessments, policy, program and compliance.
