Join us for a grassy talk about the Western Grassland Reserve!
The creation of the 15,000 hectare Western Grassland Reserve on the edge of Melbourne is one of the core promises of the joint state/commonwealth Melbourne Strategic Assessment. Parks Victoria is the lead land manager of the grassland protected so far. The challenges, and potential, are huge.
Join James Neil (Ranger Team Leader Western Grassland Reserve), Nicholas Lawrence (Ranger Western Grasslands) and Jayden Maloney (Grassland Ecologist) as they give us a Parks Victoria perspective on this complex rehabilitation project.
The Western Grasslands team’s talk will also focus on the management efforts at Little Raven, the southernmost block of the Western Grassland Reserve.
