The Victorian Volcanic Plains were once home to bandicoots, potoroos, quolls, bilbies, marsupial mice and more. The vast majority of these never-to-be-seen-again creatures relied on grassland habitat.

Now our last small marsupial of the grasslands is being driven to extinction. But there is hope for the Fat-tailed Dunnart.

The government’s Scientific Advisory Committee has recommended Fat-tailed Dunnarts be listed as vulnerable in Victoria. This is the critical first step in reversing the preventable decline of this ferocious 15 gram predator.

Urge your elected representatives to save our ‘Dunnies’ and accept the recommendation.
