Gas company AGL want to put a hulking great gas terminal in the middle of Westernport Bay – putting its Ramsar-listed wetlands, seals, penguins, dolphins, whales, fish and marine national parks and conservation reserves at risk.

Will you donate to help save Westernport Bay?

Why is it important?

  • An internationally important Ramsar-listed wetland that is home to thousands of birds is at risk.
  • Processing the gas will result in marine wildlife and seabed communities being continually exposed to chronic toxicity from chlorine toxicants.
  • It puts penguins, seals, whales and dolphins in the area at risk – including on Phillip Island.
  • Altering the water temperature and increasing underwater noise could impact marine life, including fish and waterbirds, by changing and restricting their prey availability.

We need your help if we are to stop this terminal from going ahead.
