This is a cracking little grassland in a powerline easement. It was mown for years, but that stopped in 2019 and now it’s bursting with a range of native wonders, including Critically Endangered Spiny Rice-flower, Kangaroo Grass and Lemon Beauty Heads. It was burnt last year, so we’re looking forward to a great show this year. A fine example of how resilient our grasslands are.
Later the same day, we’re going to the Jolly’s Grassland out in Parwan, near Bacchus Marsh. It’s a stunning privately owned grassland. Make a day of it!
