Nature Stewards – North-west Hub course (Macedon, Mitchell, Hepburn)

Nature Stewards North-west Hub course, covering Macedon, Mitchell and Hepburn Shires is a short course that will connect you with nature locally. You’ll discover all sorts of ways to help nature at home and through volunteering.

With weekly Saturday morning classes and regular afternoon field trips, you’ll learn from local experts about:

– Rocks, soil, fungi, plants and animals
– Climate change and seasons
– Ways to care for Country and manage private property
– Being a citizen scientist, conservation volunteer, advocate for nature, or a nature guide
– How and where you can volunteer in your area

It’s also a great way to meet like-minded people.

Saturdays, 16 March – 25 May excluding Easter long weekend.

Venues will rotate between Daylesford, Greater Beveridge Community Centre and Woodend Community Centre.

Applications close Sunday 3 March.

Macedon, Hepburn and Mitchell Shire residents: $175 full fee, $45 concession
Non-residents: $350 full fee, $90 concession*

*Concession: healthcare card holder, pensioner, full-time student
