TAKE ACTION |
In January 2018, Parks Victoria released the draft coastal management plan for the Belfast Coastal Reserve, which stretches for 18-20 km between Warrnambool and Port Fairy in south-west Victoria.
The release of the plan came as community concerns continued to mount about the impacts of commercial racehorse training on the reserve’s natural, cultural and recreational values, the protection of which was the reason for the reserve being created in the first place during the 1980s.
Submission guide and template
We have prepared a submission guide to help with your submission.
The draft plan is divided into 8 chapters and its online submission template asks you to give feedback on Chapters 2 and 4–8 by giving an overall tick of approval or disapproval and making specific comments. We have provided a submission guide with a template and suggested dot points (in blue text) for each of the chapters that you can edit and add to. As for the ticks, we’ll leave that to you should you wish to use them.
Your submission can be as short or long as you wish, and you can write your submission in a format that best suits you.
The closing date for submissions is 16 March 2018.
