Cool temperate waters combine with a varity of habitats to support a large number of sea creatures not found anywhere else in the world.
From tiny seastars to majestic Humpback Whales, our waters are home to more than 12,000 known species, and more are being discovered each year.
To help the long-term protection of this incredible marine life we need to work towards minimising current and future threats. This guide is a starting point.
