Project Hindmarsh planting weekend 2012
The Hindmarsh Landcare Network is holding its15th annual community planting weekend at the Little Desert Nature Lodge, south of Nhill, on the weekend of 18-19 August this year. The weekend is a regular part of Project Hindmarsh, which was recognised at the 2008 National Landcare Awards for its ongoing contribution to nature conservation. During the past 15 years Project Hindmarsh has reconnected the Big and Little deserts by creating 2000 kilometres of large-scale wildlife corridors and establishing more than 2 million native trees, shrubs and grasses. |
The family that plants together grows together! To see more photos from previous Project Hindmarsh weekends take a look at our Facebook album. |
Project Hindmarsh volunteers, many of them VNPA members, have worked on more than 200 properties and invested over 50,000 hours of dedicated time and effort.
